Sad to See You Go

Ok.  This is really corny, but I used up this can of Gesso.  It is all gone.  Julie Anne bought it while she was at KCAI and I confiscated it when she took off for the Great White North.  It has taken me through two and a half online art classes, my own projects and preschool projects.  I used the remainder up today.  It was getting gloppy and I had to pick out hunks sometimes, but I loved this Gesso.  I will miss it's smooth creaminess.  So long, sweet can!
This gave me a chance to practice my Aperture settings on my camera.

I may have also taken this brush from Julie's stash.  Oops.  Well it wouldn't be the first time.

Now I need to buy an f/1.8 lense for really cool pics.

Wild Things

My new project is all wrapped up and ready to be delivered!  I love it, but that is no surprise.  Just for specifics I used my Cricut Create-A-Critter for some of the grass and the large palm tree and Mini Monsters for...well the Wild Things.  Max I cut out by hand and I added the other tree etc. from hand cut scraps.  My idea here is for the child to be able to find new things in the piece as he grows older.  I hope that it works.

New Project

Here is a sneak peek of the VERY early stages of a new project.  It's a gift (of course) based on the book "Where the Wild Things Are".  More later.

Of course, I can't cut things like that.  I cheated and used my Cricut.  I have a few tricks up my sleeve to mess these up a bit, don't worry.  I am in love with the chevrons.
