These little babies were made on canvas using lots of gesso, heavy bodied paint, paint, stencils, pen, ink and some book paper mixed with twine. I untwisted the 3-ply twine into individual strands to add to the nests. Oh, and I had a ton of fun using my crackle paint that I never use. I kind of dug that and have already used it on another project and I foresee many more in the future.
Enjoy!
There's that book paper and twine. Lots of decoupage adhesive was used to create that.
The eggs went through many changes. I think that I painted them 3 times before I was happy. Then I had to stencil them.
How can you not just love this little guy?
I have a lot of stamps. This one I love.
Yes, there is a double meaning.
